PROLOGUE
It was the pleasant afternoon of the Diwali week, at Aurangabad. I had come here almost after a month from Pune, since the Swine Flu holidays.

I felt a powerful vibe to do something, anything. There was a powercut since morning and my cousin 'jam' was nowhere to be seen.

I had no internet, no one to talk to , and nothing to do. And I was very well prepared for this circumstance. So I brought along with me, my camera, a PSP, and the beautiful Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones. Thanks to my brother, Aditya, who got me those. Any sound that plays through those.... turns me on !

CREATION ~
So, using my chair as a tripod, the PSP as the music player and the camera as ... the camera ! I decided to slingshot boredom into void, and create something to relive me of emptiness for the entire day.

I switched to the track "Bounce" by Timbaland. Yup, the same that was played in the ending of Step Up2 the Streets.
Although the music volume was very low, the beats really got me going. Music made me move.
And the recording started, the stage was lit, the music started, and the camera rolling ~
To be honest, I started doing the most random set of moves, that came to my head, that very second. It was instantaneous, it was on the spot. It was pretty awesome.

USE
It was for my own entertainment. I liked the video, and kept watching it during the next 2-3 days.

I wanted opinion , and since jam wasnt the best of people for this job, I created a Video called B o u n ɔ ǝ , using Sony Vegas, and uploaded it on Youtube and Facebook,
The response was fairly good.
I accept that its a set of random moves, but it turned out pretty well, and I'm happy with the fact.

CBSE's decision to make the Board Exam optional doesn't seem wise. Most students will fall for it, and then realize that they are pressurized for the entire year.

Lets have a look at their article ...

CBSE has made X Boards Exams optional from Academic year 2010-11.

The announcement was made on 31st August, 2009. The government will be issuing guidelines soon in terms of actual road map for implementation. This means a direct impact on the future of a student's life. This is an effort to bridge the gap in current knowledge dissemination.

THE REGULATION:

Union Human Resource Development Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal on 31st August, 2009 announced a new directive for CBSE X boards.

The Directive is for next academic year 2010-11.
CBSE X board exams have been made optional.
Focus on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
The evaluation system will be changed from marks to grades.

TRANSLATION:

Que. Class X Board Exams are optional. How does it work?

Ans. This has 2 implications:

CBSE X Board Exams are Mandatory for Schools which have classes only till Xth Standard.
Optional for Schools with classes till XII Standard.

Que. What will be the new Evaluation System?

Ans. A new system of evaluation has been put into place that lays emphasis on better understanding of concepts rather than one-time mugging during exams. This is being termed as CONTINOUS & COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION (CCE). Under Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), students will be evaluated throughout the year.

Now, there will be two terms in each year, not three. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) comprises of 2 assessments done over 2 terms - first and second.

*Formative Assessment*	*Summative Assessment*
Grading class work, homework, assignment and project work.	Based on the term-end exam.
2 evaluations each in the first and second term	The first term-end exam will carry 20 marks
Each evaluation will carry 10 marks	The second term end exam will carry 40 marks
Total of 40 marks from formative evaluation	Total of 60 marks from summative evaluation

Que. What is the new grading system and how does it work?

Ans.

New Grading Scheme

Grades will be awarded to students on a 9-point grading system. Each grade will be given on the basis of formative and summative assessment and will correspond to a range of marks:

C1	60 - 69

One wrong mistake , or one bad day ... will get you a 0/10 and that wont suffice the increasing need on the Board result during Junior College Admissions.

I've always hated homework , never liked the class tests but loved the projects.

The Board Exam , gives sufficient time for studying, holidays, enjoyment in the preparation leave. In fact, the prelims and preparation leave was the best time of my life, where I had sufficient time to sleep, have food ! , talk to relatives, and go at my own pace, unlike the hectic yet slow schedules of the school.

If you don't give the Board Exam ..... I'd just have to say ... You are missing out !
You'll miss out the preparation, the fun, the amount of communication about studies with friends, the iterations with the teacher. The solving of the sample papers.

While giving the boards, students can actually get a feel , that they are doing something big.

If it had been my choice , I'd love to give the Board Exam ~
and i advise you to do the same ~

Personal Experience :
Out of my personal experience, I'd say , that the Board year, was the best year of my life.
I had the most fun at Nath Valley School. I worked in almost all the events and occasions, and played most of the tournaments.

I trained myself after my first semester for the sports day. I barely completed the homework most of the time, but the teachers were very considerate in my case. The teachers taught us quite well. I loved working for The science exhibition, the interviews, the annual day , the Monsoon Fest (Nirlep), the sports day , Teachers Day.

In June , I was burdened to take Interviews, of some of the ex students, for the Science Fair.
Plus i was up for the Football Tournament, held in end July or August...
September was NIrlep , so September -1 = August , was full of work on Uma maam's Computer. I enjoyed working on the monsoon fest and Uma maam, more than anything else, or more than anyone else in the school. She gave me complete freedom of creativity.
Other than that , there was always a contant need of someone solving the teachers problems, on the computer. So i was pulled from teacher to teacher.
No. of classes not attended = Countless ;)
But i did my work at home. I covered up. In fact, I always thought that the 10th std portion was fairly..... Simple.
I changed the most in this one year 2008-2009. I became Global , stated thinking outta the box and , made a lot of new friends, including Juniors and Seiniors.

September 5 was the changing date of my life.
It was teacher's day. I dunno what i saw, but whatever it was, changed me Kompletely....

October was a hellish month. I remember sleeping at 4 , waking up at 5, just to pass, every single day due to the semesters. It was more than tiring. In 5 days, i hadnt slept for more than 8 hours. My eye power increased coz of that. By the end of it , i was soo tired, i felt like breaking down forever......, but then , I wouldnt be able to attend Diwali Mela, wouldnt i !!
and who wants to miss something like that ?

Diwali Mela was great, once again , i loved it

In the month of November , I barely touched corridors, leave Classrooms..
Right from morning , I loved to walk all the way from the parking lot, breathing the fresh air, looking at the ground, and directly to the Amphitheater. Setting up the sound equipment, running around to call the peons or Bhaiya's ... and the early practises before assembly, they were just great.
Btw, Children's Day was great, coz the school took us out. And i loved roaming the beautiful gardens..
and Sports day ... well , lets just say , it was'nt my day, although it was unfair, and all, i did pretty well, to shock most people out. Becuuse i always had it in me ... like in 6th , when i had won 2 golds in 100m and 200m ~
I missed an entire month of all school, from November 12th to December ending ... Annual Day :)
It was totally worth the experience.
In January , we had the prelims, we were allowed to go home early, But i had different plans :D I loved staying back at school. Just roaming in the campus, the beautiful green campus , and the ground.
My teacher's used to ask me... Why are'nt u going home ?
Well, I couldve said , I like it here... but i always landed up saying , there's no one at home. And there actually was no one at home !
I was alone, in Jan , and Feb , and some of March .
I attended a Rock Conert on a Saturday. after one of my second prelims, then, on Saturday, i attended the Lokmat Event on Sunday, with 2 of my friends and monday was rebuplic day. Tueday was my exam.
February was the fun month.
March was the Study month
All went cool
and The expereince was great :)

Boards On, magazine 's out

Had my Hindi Boards on 23rd.
Studied like a Maniac the day before the exams. Studied the same way like a Professional Gamer Plays before his tournaments.

The paper went soo well, that I could've easily said "Expecting a 90+" as the results, but then I get reminded of Section A. I had left the entire "KHAND" or section A when the invigilator stood there , waiting to collect my PAPER !

I was given extra time.
20 Marks is not a joke ! and the paper is out of 100.
I did'nt read a single word of the paragraph or prose given to us.
Instead People gathered around me and started blotting answers.
I wrote in Light-speed.
And numbered question awkwardly.
Lets see what happens....

I could have proudly said , "i'm expecting 90+ for sure", but in vain , is the pain.....
and after getting a 56 in semester 1 and 59 in prelim 2 , this is a great achievement !

Further News...
School Magazine sucked big time !
I had'nt given a single photo to ma'am , otherwise , my pics would've come :(
The quality of pictures in the school magazine was blurry and stretched, in one word, sadly, it 'sucked'...

The pictures were as if taken from a 2 Mega Pixel Camera, and then stretched like anything. It took me minuted to identify people in most of the photos (and people do know how fast I am !)....

Half of the day in the magazine were forgotten...
Diwali Mela was not there !
Thats the main day of school !
My brother literally went to school just for that day !
And the reports sucked.

Students, who died helping for the school, were never credited. Students who had their 10th std going on , and still helped the Helpless staff in organizing various activities, like the Nirlep , annual day , ANY day ... were Never credited.
Their photos never came in the school magazine.

Just seems Unfair , but then , watcha gonna do !? :D

I can't blame anyone for that , because, Bagul Sir , the editor and Vp of our school was leaving, and soo , the magazine was definately made in a hurry.

I dont know why it was brought up during the last week !

Usually , we get it on April 9 , the last day , prize distribution day of our school.

The Juniors have their Semesters going on ! Should they read the magazine , or study ?!
and we have our boards for crying out loud !

Oh the most important part for me.... In the Highest Score in the subject marks... my name was there for Computers...
but the Percentage was missing .... Now how unbelivable could that sound !

And the reason being .... my Marks had a Units, Tens, and a hundreds Place. Meaning , it was a 100 %
And the format of the Marks was Tens, Units, and Decimal Tenth, and Hundredth...
Most people got 99.97, or 95.96 or something like that... but my 100 was never written ... SAD...

Its like they left that Place, for me to write 101 % and give an autograph :P :)

And as for my current status... I'm studying for my Science Boards on 28th.
Hope they go well too...

Surprisingly , God is helping me a lot. I've watched the Zeitgiest Movie, and still , there seems to be a God. I've asked for havy favours and all have been fulfilled.

I've asked for one favour .... and lets see if he fulfills that.....

Oh and ... hmmmm ....... I Wish .............................R...............

I dont know how I've got the time for blogging ... shouldnt waste this ... so i'll stop typing.
And , why are you reading this anyways.... i dunno why you are soo interested in this ... According to me , posts or articles like this are only meant for me, because they are crappy and nostalgic later :)

I wish the best of luck to all my juniors giving their semesters :)

Coz .. most of them are gonna enjoy like anything after their exams :)

Firstly, I would Love to thank my bestest Bro Aaditya Bharadwaj , who started blogging and told me to blog too back when i completed 8th Grade Final Semesters.

I just went through my blog , right from the start, and I realized that , waow , its wonderful !
Its like writing a diary / log , a blog !
So many memories :)

I stopped blogging because it was time-consuming. Also , Twitter came up , the mini blogging network.

But , blogging is much more LIVELY , with pictures, and videos and large opinions.

Jamaican athelete Usain Bolt , also known as Thunder Bolt, as expected broke his own world record set on 31 May 2008, from 9.72 to 9.69 for 100m. He started Celebrating 20 M earlier.

I was waiting for this event and him since long. It was held on 16th august, the 100m Mens Finals. I knew he'd come first. He broke the 200M record too. But 100m is greater !

He didnt care about the world record, he just did his thing. Look how calm he is just before the race:In the start, he is slow, thats why de doesnt get tensed before the race, because he knows that he wont lead until the first 35 M

WALL·E OMGed !

Preeti Chachi, my Aunt a few months back told me about WALL·E, and that time, it was in PRODUCTION - stated my imdb.

And Then i Completely forgot about it. Most of these movies are not publicized in INDIA. No advertising is done. Here chances of piracy and screening or screen release stealing are low too. OK - Don't send the DVD's if you want to pacify Piracy, but at least Bring it out on Theaters, and advertise. Would'nt that get you more votes ? But no.
Even after no advertising and not publicizing , lets see what happened.

I did'nt know about it either because, I had referred to this > http://shomodor27.blogspot.com/2007/12/disney-movies.html from a cartoon movie database, about future animated or cartoon or disney-pixar movies.
Then i checked again, after release and it said , awaiting 5 votes.

And when i saw today , I was SHOCKED - 8.6 was the rating on IMDB !

And people say that its "This is the best Disney/Pixar movie I have seen"
What about Ratatouille ? I can't believe that a better movie could be made.

I bet it's getting an OSCAR for the best Animated Movie (2008), in the next Academy Award Event which will be in 2009.

Such an up-heaval never occured. Even Ratatouille was sent to #128 wihtout publicity.

Google launches Lively, virtual world sim

A really bad news for Second Life: Google is launching a new service today called Lively, a browser based virtual world add-on that lets users create and customize avatars and worlds, interact with other users, and generally have a richer social interaction than is offered by GTalk today....

Worlds can be embedded into web pages, although only Windows users on IE or Firefox can view them, after an add-on download and installation. Mac and Linux users will have to wait for now.

Google has created a number of sample rooms that can be copied and altered, or users can start from scratch and build their own world. Furniture and other items can be added and moved around. Avatars can talk to each other, do things like dance and shake hands, and manipulate objects (in a demo, my avatar was able to blow up drums of toxic waste by double clicking on them. Users can also, of course, chat with each other - GTalk is the underlying chat engine. This isn’t yet a full Second Life competitor. There’s no single world, for example, where users can move around. But it’s easy to see Google evolving this into a single online world. And then, of course, selling advertising into it.

Yesterday, the entire evening at night, till 1 at night...I was watching Football tricks > The Ronaldhino Elastic, and tons , more..

coz i had a match to play, today.

So, i was really careful with my legs, cause, i was already injured.. weak bones, ligament tears etc.
and Luckily, my legs were fit during play.

In the first Half, i scored a Goal. I was very happy.
In the Second half, I played without any effort, cause our Captain > Yash - the most awesome captain ever, scored a goal.
So the score was like 2-0 at the end of the match.

Yash, is much , much much better then any other captains we had.
In the last three years, the leaders were always, Saraubh Wahegaonkar and Anad Bora, the biggest loosers in Milky Way.
They didnt let me play , the MY WAY.
i couldnt score a goal in three years.
But now, YASH, was all easy, told me to put in the best, and i did.
The game went really well.

And then the Naramada House Captain (not football, the entire house capt.) comes up and she says to me... "You are in Narmada House ?... I thought... "
I mean , what the hell, Does anybody no know me ?
I mean , its really awkward.... I've been serving this damn Green Thing for too long , and now !...
Strange peopless..

In the Second Half, i got a massive blow, from the Ball, on my Head by a Godavari Defender - Sarvesh...

And.. I would really like to thank Shardul, he helped me a lot.

After all this .. my head started aching real bad, cause of the BLOW.
But then , Akshay (AJ), gave me my HISTORY PROJECT.

Its just cool.

I love my project, and i am going to KEEP it.

And , then my head was aching, so I had those HYPONSIS audio tracks in my PSP, so i listened to two of them.

Firefox 3: 14 million downloads already & counting

Firefox 3, the recently released open source browser from Mozilla, has claimed that over 8 million copies of the software were downloaded on Download Day. The company stated early that their goal was to surpass the initial release of Firefox 2, at 1.6 million downloads in 24 hours, and hit 5 million downloads. The goal of the marketing campaign is to set a Guinness World Record for most downloaded software in a single day. A few days have passed and, barring the server downtime that plagued users for a few hours, the results look promising for Mozilla’s world record attempt. According to the official Mozilla blog, Firefox 3 easily cruised past 5 million user downloads. “We exceeded 8 million downloads in our 24 hour period,” the blog states. Downloads were tracked from 11:16am PDT on June 17th to 11:16am PDT on the following day.

The next step in the process is for Firefox 3 to be certified by Guinness World Records. To help get their audit logs in order, Mozilla has brought on two external judges: Paul Vixie, of the Internet Systems Consortium, and Corey Shields, of the University of Indiana’s University of Information Technology Services. Once the two judges and Mozilla feel confident that their download logs are in order, they will be handed over to the people at Guinness World Records for verification. If the attempt is verified, Firefox 3 will be the first recipient of the most software downloaded in a single day record. The process of having a record certified by Guinness can take two different paths. If Mozilla chooses not to expedite the service, the results will be released in four to six weeks. On the other hand, if the company opts for Fast Review, the results could be available in three days from the time the logs are submitted.

When i was in 1st Standard , there were people making American Beauty , which won 5 oscars.
The movie was made in OCTOBER, sometime near my Diwali Vacation.
And no one told me !

Even the MATRIX was made when i was in 1st.

It's like LEVEL UP !
I just found out.

Being in Years in the copying business, this has, made me do something different.
I'm so engrossed in copying, and suddenly , i start thinking about something.
Then i keep thinking, give my thoughts on that, and i notice, that i have copied, three full answers.
Without even knowing a word that i've written
Not a single word.

All i remember is, i was talking to my brain about a recent happeneing of me going to a friends house, to get the books.

This is really good.

The un-consiouss Brain, actually Shifted my eyes, at particular moments, and told my hand to keep writing it.

This is nothing...
All Kids can do this.
In fact, kids can do even more.
They can , actually do both the things, at once - concentrate on what they are writing, as well as think abt their thoughts.

But as they grow older, and big, you start losing the ability.

I remember when i was in 8th standard...
I used to remember when i last slept, where my location was.
As soon as i attented a few hectic days in 9th grade...
ability was lost.
I couldnt remember when i last slept.
I couldnt do things the way i did.

Now, the Un_consious Brain DEVELOPES RAPIDLY and for a reason, thats coz, only un-consious brain can help you to ----------------- , (if you dont want those dashes, just learn something about HYPNOSIS< or un-consious brain...).

No wonder, small things can change you a lot.

Ratatouille Music - Michael Giacchino

I really loved the movie Ratatouille, everything was a perfecto.

The story was great, the animation just ravishing , and music was just yumm !
and i felt like eating all the time !

This post focuses on the music though.

This movie had its own music unlike other movies. Brad Bird had the right sense and knowledge to take Michael Giacchino's help for the movie's music.

His Orchestral band just proved right and made stunning piece of music nominated for the Oscars twice...for different fields in 2007.

You might not have heard of Michael Giacchino, but you almost certainly have heard his music. He's composed the scores to films like MI:3, The Incredibles, and, most recently, Ratatouille. He's worked on TV shows, including Alias and Lost. He's worked on videogames — at least a dozen of them. In fact, videogames is where Giacchino (pronounced juh-KEE-no) got his start, and where he just returned, with the soundtrack to EA's WWII shooter Medal of Honor: Airborne (in stores Aug. 28).

He has done , quite a lot of work.

Yeah, I normally hate to inform about console games, but Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game of the the year without any doubts so it deserves at least a short mention. This fresh release from group iCON for XboX 360 has 6.36 GB and is not region free - which means only people in Japan, Asia, Australia and few European countries can play it. As Rockstar doesn’t publish this game until next week, it’s possible they will ban users playing this version of GTA 4 on their XboX, so NFO recommends not going online until the next week. I’m eagerly awaiting the PC version!

The most anticipated game ever, Grand Theft Auto IV will revolutionize gaming. You play as Niko Bellic, an Eastern European immigrant to Liberty City with a murky, violent past. Hoping to start a new life in a new country, Niko arrives on the docks and is met by his cousin, Roman. Frankly, I didnt get any time to blog. I am doing it after years !
So i'll just make it short n sweet right from when i actually left this thing to die...

NIRLEP :
Was great, I finally got a little credit for the movie and certificates and logos that I made. The school loved the movie. After the entire show , people were just calling me , and saying , excellect movie , awesome performance, congrats and all, felt good. Was worth it though. A one man army , finished it in like a month, wasting entire Winter Holidays ! No kidding....

I recieved 10 Blank Cd's Moserbaer and a gift Vouched from Quadrangle for making that. Was Expecting more , coz it was pretty cool. Then gave a treat to my friends...

MUMBAI - DELHI - GANGANAGAR :
Awesome trip. I liked the sunshine, and the view , in aurangabad , the day I left for Delhi via Mumbai in an INDIAN Airlines Flight at 6PM (came frm school at 2:45)
We had 4 days of holidays or smthin... The Flight was good. Delhi was good. While going to McDonalds that night, i forgot to take my PSP. Next Day , i found a network there - NET GEAR, very fast INTERNET. I also visited the Mughal Gardens - a bees heaven , you know !

Then , off to Ganganagar, the next day. Took 8 hours by train. I listened to HITZONE TOP 40 again and again, awesome ! Then , when we reached, they asked us tickets, dad said, pointing at the person infront, "Saath main hi hain" loled..
We wanted a cycle - rickshaw, and the distance was less too , i mean , from the station to the Hotel. So the guy said , : 20 Rs. and dad said "Deemag out ho gaya hai kya !" LOLEST moment of trip..

Ganganagar was good too, stayed in Hotel Pagoda, the only Hotel there. Nice service. The food was great too (that night).

Next morning , we were off to see the border, same , which i saw when me n aiya came long back.
Then that army guy there gave some cool info. The thing that changed this time , was , that , there were a lotta Honey Bees, and i kinda fell nice to coz i'd seen this BEE MOVIE.
I even had that BIG SUNDAE, that i had when i had come last time.. It's called MANGO MIXIE, its simple great... :D
Then , that night was the Birthday Party of Chahhal Uncle's Twin sons. Big Party, was awesome, the music , shook my head off. It actually started vibrating !
I met Bladev Uncle's sons again and Maher didnt seem to recognize me.
An Actress and Dharmendra had come for the party too. Then we noticed, that he was living just besides our room in the hotel. I mean , big deal...
Next morning, we left for Delhi.

Again 8 hours !
Shit train , didnt even stop for a second on any station. F*** b***.
Starving , we came to Delhi. It was Holi, and it was suppose to end at 3 o clock or smthing. I wanted smthing frm Mc.Donalds.. so we called, and they said , after 3 o clock... we'll be online. I called at 3 o clock , and it didnt even ring.. i mean , so many ppl were calling ! , luckily i made the call , and i told them , that i lived it Bangali Market. Then they said , if ur living there, wait for half an hour more .... i'm LIKE DO'h !
finally , after half an hour , managed sumhow... got the food , ate, packed bags.. and 5:30 off to Airport. There i found 6 more networks, named Tsunami, SpiceJet smthing... all crap..
Our plane was Spice Jet, and it sucked big time.... I MEAN , SHITTY seats, and the air conditioner was giving hot air , and the air hosteses was soo yuck... eww..
We reached Bombay at night. I love that airport. I got over 12-13 Networks there, SO i had to delete many existing networks, to get access.

On our way to the resthouse.... i found 82 , yea 82 NETWORKS FROM MY PSP, in a moving car.

Unbelivable... and when i reached the resthouse.... i found HOLYY's Network ! his MAC smthing .. i was shocked..... How can the range come soo far , below , so many floors, and far off ! Amazing..

The Next day , i had to go for a Engadgement ceremony in the ITC Grand Hotel. It was very nice, the Hotel was cool, it was GRAND, massive, awesome.., and as usual, the HOTEL had A NETWORK !
We came back to the resthouse in the morning itself , after the ceremony. Then at night was The marriage. Dilip Uncle Came.... Vilas Rao Deshmukh came , home minister came ... lotta ppl..
and the moment i was waiting for. THE STEALING OF THE GROOMS SHOES. We had planned it soo perfectly.. Holyy was not interested.. He was showing that...
Then Shreya and Saloni started jumping to grab the shoes from the grooms friend who was tall. The Children (boys) frm the Grooms Side ran there , to grab the shoe to protect it..
And then Holly got a phone call frm Aunty saying tht , it has BEGUN !
and all of a sudden , he was soo interested ! He ran ! , DASHED , actually , BOOM ! unbelivably RUGBY !, he got the shoes , ran towards me like a RELAY RACE, and told me to RUN with it.

We had already planned the thing. You know , like Oceans 5 !
Shreya & Saloni were the inducers.
Holyy did the main job of getting it.
ME !, me ran , like hell , to the destination..
BALAK was in the lift , escorting me to the hiding place...

what happened was, as soon as i got the shoes (they were in a bag), i ran , ran like hell towards the LIFTS.
Now Balak, already had taken all the ROOM'S keys (those cards! ) and then we hid it in a room , in a drawer (the shoes). Then we took the bag, filled it with Kinley Bottles, came back , like OCEANS 5 ! it was sooo cool.
We asked that guy for money , and you kno , i dunt need to explain this , but till the end , he didnt give us a nickel.....
The groom's side was pissed of though , coz BALAK was showing the bag again and again.
BALAK had promised everyone a PSP, coz were at least gonna get 30000 frm tht guy.

But in vien , was the pain.....then we left... to the resthouse again , next morning was my train to a'bad...
REached,,,,,, HOMEWORK aaaaaaaaaa ! and then , school tomorow... oh damn...

the end.. pheww....
(The only thing i lacked was a Camera..)
PS : even after helping aish , in the entire trip, she made me sick at the end...

Blu-Ray outperforms HD DVD 6 to 1

Last week, Blu-ray had its best week ever with 85% of the high-def disc market share, according to trade publication Home Media Magazine. Since the beginning of the format war, Blu-ray has been consistently outperforming HD DVD, but never at such a large rate. The second-place format was dealt a big blow a couple weeks ago when Warner Bros announced it was dropping HD DVD support, preventing the format from gaining any momentum during the Consumer Electronics Show.

Additionally, Home Media Magazine reports that the 10 top-selling HD titles last week were all Blu-ray Discs, the first time that not one HD DVD made the list. At the top of the list was Blu-ray’s 3:10 To Yuma, which sold 10 times as many discs as the HD DVD release of The Kingdom. These numbers motivated some fans of HD DVD to start a petition called “Save HD DVD” - it has collected over 13 thousand singatures so far, but I really doubt it can change anything…

3Ds Max 9 on Vista ?!

Yes, took me... a day to make 3Ds Max 9 to work on Vista. Everyone said , that it wont work. Went to each torrent site. No help found. Was gonna buy 3ds Max frm winamra, coz i though there's some problem in the installation (coz already it was a huge process, n confusing for some). But then , made it work.

1]Right-click 3ds Max shortcut > Properties. Then Under Compatibility tab, check mark Run as Administrator. Apply.

2]Right-Click My computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Then in System properties, under Advanced tab , click Settings. Then in Performance options, select the Data Execution Prevention tab.

3]Under this tab, click on add, then browse to your shortcut, (on the desktop, probably), select it, and click Open. Make sure it is check marked. Also make sure , that you have chosen the second option button (which says "Turn on DEP for all Programs and services except those I select"). Apply.

4]Double-click your shortcut nd as usual... Viola !, It works !

Portal™ is a new single player game from Valve. Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal has been called one of the most innovative new games on the horizon and will offer gamers hours of unique gameplay.

The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life® 2's Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.

Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.

Extremely nice, recommended for everyone. Though challenging, but fun. I was waiting for it , when the trailer came out.

The game is interesting. It makes us use our brains. Logic=high (requirement). Another reason why I liked this game was, that it separates, ppl with brain size of a pea (courtesy aiya`dt) from ppl with some kind of a brain. Finish the game, and you'll be accepted in the latter division ~!

I got so Involved in the game that I completed it in 2.5 hrs, frm 11:45 at night, to 2:30 A.M. at night. Its really good. It also has good soundtracks, one of em even being my favorite. The last one "Still alive" !

The game is easy, and fun. Its a 19 level game. When you cover the first 18 levels, in an hour or so , you'll think , WTF ! (wt a short game !), but no , level 19 will not only test your skillz, but will start the real game. Basically , i cant disclose the secret, so play it yourself.

Its filled with putting box on weight-checking-door-openers lol ! Its all there, ready to puzzling you. So play it , play it, play it !

Google finishes Gdrive, personal internet storage

Internet titan Google has announced plans to launch a file storage system, which will enable users to securely save files on the Google hard drive. The files will be available for access via the Internet, from computers and mobile devices anywhere in the world. The service will offer a yet-to-be-specified storage amount for free, with additional storage space available for purchase. The announcement of the storage service is apparently not new news, as rumors had been circulating in the past about a similar service, dubbed as Gdrive. The Wall Street Journal sees this new product as a way for Google to increase their stakes in the long-time rivalry with Microsoft.

There has been some concern regarding the issue of privacy, with the user’s files being posted on the internet, and will be accessible to hackers. A Google spokeswoman addressed this concern, saying “It is certainly approached with the utmost sensitivity on our end…We have extensive safeguards in place currently to protect our user data and we have a very strong track record in this regard.” Google has also assured attention towards copyright issues, as the storage service will allow file sharing, hence risking the illegal distribution of music and other copyrighted products. Are you crazy enough to let someone else manage your personal data?

My problem about this one is that, it will take a lot of time to transfer in and out all the files. Basically its giving way to huge piracy because people will use to as download servers !

Our English project, given on a very wrong day.
Perhaps , I had no time to this at all. Literally no time. And with the blocking of the internet, this task was like the movie "The Great Escape" (good movie ! )

With no help , no internet, or anything on hand..... I had to do the entire 30 minute shoe on my own. Right from the start.

Information i knew > i had 7 ppl in my group. thats it !

Decide everything !

nd yes... started my work at 6 in evening after coming back from school, ended up ... nearly at three at night. Each minute was a curse... but was fun too !

The entire script..... really impressed my teacher ! n my fellow mates...

The worst part of the whole thing was that...i had done all the hardwork..nd i got no credit out of it..... It was a great show, everyone liked it, as i always Made by shom, but then .... no one knows who did what ... , n there goes all the credit ... in the lane.... far beside (srry for wasting time...)

The thing is.... that ... my group members know that i did it , in one day , alone.... till 3 at night...
and they really dont care....

Its goes like this ....

" Once you come into shom's group, RELAX ! "

NO , its always been like that..... and my group members .... just relax ... and after the project , dont even thank me .. or even say , hey , u did a good job ... nothing

Just collect the prize and WHOOSH , "who are you... do i kno u ? " !
It has happened all the time..

Some of them like my Annual Day website, Cday Movie, all my science projects, some maths projects, n presentations, THE FLASH BACK RADIO SHOW , where i really deserved a real somthing... but got nothin...

The platform, called Android, has been developed by Google and others as part of the Open Handset Alliance, which has over 30 partners supporting it. The goal of this ambitious initiative is to spur innovation in the mobile space and accelerate improvements in how people use the Web via cell phones. The open-source platform will have a complete set of components, including an operating system, middleware stack, customizable user interface and applications.

The first Android-based phones should hit the market in the second half of 2008. The platform will be made available under an open-source license that will give a lot of flexibility to those who adopt it to modify its components and design services and products, Google said. Observe how the person smiles.
- Forced Smile
  
  Forced smiles are easy to spot since they only involve the muscles around the mouth. The person will appear as being overly relaxed and not really happy. Look at the mouth and see if the teeth are showing. A real smile will reveal a bit of teeth but a forced smile may or may not.
- True Smile
  
  In a real smile, more facial muscles besides the mouth are involved. A dead giveaway is tightening around the eyes, which sometimes causes crows' feet. Very few people can fake a smile and still control their eyes in this manner.
Watch their hands, arms and legs, which tend to be limited, stiff, and self-directed when the person is lying. The hands may touch or scratch their face, nose or behind an ear, but are not likely to touch their chest or heart with an open hand.
Check for sweating. People tend to sweat more when they lie.
See if they are telling you too much, like "My mom is living in France, isn't it nice there? Don't you like the Eiffel tower? It's so clean there." Too many details may tip you off to their desperation to get you to believe them.
Observe eye contact

Notice the person's eye movements. Contrary to popular belief, a liar does not always avoid eye contact. Humans naturally break eye contact and look upwards when remembering something. Liars may deliberately make eye contact to seem more sincere. Liars also tend to blink more often. A typical right-handed person tends to look towards his left (your right) when remembering something that actually happened (remembered images, sounds and internal dialogue) and towards their right (constructed images, sounds and kinesthetic sensations) when they're making something up.
Be sensitive to the person's emotional expression, specifically the timing and duration, which tends to be off when someone is lying. Emotions can be delayed, remain longer than usual, then stop suddenly. Likewise, they might not match appropriately with verbal statements. And, as with smiling, facial expressions of a liar will be limited to the mouth area.
Pay close attention to the person's reaction to your questions. A liar will often feel uncomfortable and turn their head or body away, or even unconsciously put an object between the two of you. Also, while an innocent person would go on the offensive, a guilty person will often go immediately on the defensive.
Listen for a subtle delay in responses to questions. An honest answer comes quickly from memory. Lies require a quick mental review of what they have told others to avoid inconsistency and to make up new details as needed.
Be conscious of their wording. Verbal expression can give many clues as to whether a person is lying, such as:
- Using/repeating your own exact words when answering a question
- NOT using contractions
- Avoiding direct statements or answers
- Speaking excessively in an effort to convince
- Speaking in a monotonous tone
- Leaving out pronouns (he, she, it, etc.)
- Speaking in muddled sentences
- Equivocation. "Non-Answers" for example: Q:"Are these your drugs?" A:"I don't even smoke." Q:"Did you kill that man?" A:"I don't even own a gun." In essence, these subjects ARE answering TRUTHFULLY, however, the answers they are providing do not address the actual questions in any way.
- Using humor and sarcasm to avoid the subject
Allow silence to enter the conversation. Observe how uncomfortable and restless the person becomes when there is a pause.
Change the subject quickly. While an innocent person would be confused by the sudden shift in the conversation and may try to return to the previous subject, a liar will be relieved and welcome the change. You may see the person become more relaxed and less defensive.
Watch his or her throat. A person may constantly be either trying to lubricate their throat when he/she lies OR swallowing to avoid the tension built up
A person tilting their head to the right is also an indicator of lying. This is because the creative side of the brain is the right. Thus meaning they are creating, or making something up.

Tips

Just because someone exhibits one or more of these signs does not mean they are lying. The above behaviors should be compared to a person's base (normal) behavior whenever possible.
The more you get to know someone, the better you will become at recognizing their thinking style, and you will become better at knowing when they may be straying from the truth. In the ordinary course of events, you will see a consistent pattern of eye movements. If a person breaks their pattern, this may well suggest that they are deviating from the truth, though they may not be lying deliberately. To test the pattern break, ask more questions to try and clarify whether the pattern break was indeed an attempt to tell a lie.
Some of the behaviors of a liar listed above also coincide with those of an extremely shy person, who might not be lying at all.
Some of the behaviors may occur also when somebody is very concentrated on speech (for example when topic is sophisticated or person stressed)
Botox or other plastic surgery may also interfere with 'tells' and give false positives.
Some people may have reputations for lying; keep this in mind, but don't let it mask your opinions all the time -- you have to take it on a case by case basis.
If you are holding the person's hand (boyfriend or girlfriend), you can often detect truth or lie by the increase of their pulse.
Since lying typically causes tension, a person's voice may become higher pitched when they are lying.

Remember that eye contact is considered rude in some cultures, so this may explain why they are reluctant to look you in the eye consistantly.
Some people with developmental disabilities like Autism or Asperger's syndrome are very reluctant to make eye contact or do not make eye contact at all. This is a trait of the Autism spectrum and not an attempt to lie.
